Child Support Guideline Update- What You Need to Know

The Office of the Attorney General recently announced that the guideline cap for child support has been raised. Per the Texas Family Code, the guideline cap is adjusted every six years to account for inflation. Using the consumer price index, this year’s adjustment brings the cap from $8,550 to $9,200 beginning September 1, 2019.

This adjustment may impact you, your firm, your business, or a friend or loved one. We would love to schedule a time to talk to answer any questions you may have about this change and what it means for you.

Please contact our client concierge Katie at katie@familylawdfw.com or at 214-269-4256 to schedule a 15 minute call.
