Coronavirus is uncharted territory for most of us. Just a few months ago, it was business as usual, and now businesses are closing, schools are wondering how to safely reopen, and entire countries are struggling. As individuals, we are isolating ourselves and sheltering in place for long periods of time with no real end in sight. So, if you are stressed out by all of this, you’re not alone. What you’re feeling is a normal response to the situation.
Whether we are dealing with coronavirus or any other crisis, we can apply many of the same strategies to both. Our years of experience helping women through divorce and personal crisis has taught us a few strategies that we would like to share. These strategies often revolve around control and what we can do when we feel helpless and out of control in a crisis. But when we take ownership of the things we do control, we feel empowered and confident.
